Jordan Roy-Byrne joins me today to outline the importance of moves int he US markets vs precious metals. We discuss overall sentiment in both sectors which is one of the key drivers. Also short term compared to long term Fed policy related to a potential recession is key in determining short to medium term moves. Finally general fund flows are short term drivers to price.
David Erfle, Founder of The Junior Miner Junky joins me to share his thoughts on the move higher in gold. Still within a backdrop of low sentiment gold is continuing the trend higher. There are many encouraging signs for the metal as it seems slowly money mangers are allocating a little money to the PMs. Also GDX put in a gap today and back on January 25th. We weigh in on which of these gaps might be filled.

This sentiment overview was sent to me by Rick Bensignor a relatively new guest to the show and editor of the Bensignor Investment Strategies newsletter. His newsletter is more of an institutional letter but the themes remain the same for everyone.
As Rick notes figures above 84% bulls or beneath 16% bulls are considered extreme.
Remember sentiment very much follows markets but can tell us when we are at extremes. Right now we are seeing very few markets at extreme bullish or bearish levels which could continue in a muddle along fashion for the year. Simply just some food for thought I’m curious as to what all of you think about any of the markets outlined below.
These levels are all as of last Friday’s Close.
If you want any additional information on Rick’s newsletter please email me and I will put you in touch with him.
Chris Kimble, Founder of Kimble Charting Solutions is sharing with us another four charts this time focused on the NYSE and investor sentiment. All the charts are presented below in order of discussion.
Click here to visit the Kimble Charting Solutions website. Even if you are not a technical analyst Chris does a great job of outlining key charts and eliminating the noise. At the very least I suggest signing up for his free email list.
