Goldplay Exploration Ltd. (TSXV:GPLY) has announced further sampling results from historical holes first drilled on the San Marcial Project in Mexico in 2010. A recent article from Streetwise Reports showcased the results, which included a 0.5-meter intercept of 2,384 g/t silver equivalent housed within a 46-meter silver mineralized zone. Results from this round of sampling has helped the company confirm the continuity of high-grade silver mineralization with anomalous values of both lead and zinc.
“Goldplay’s systematic sampling of 22 existing core drill holes (previously only partially sampled) is confirming the upside potential for resource expansion, while delineating mineralized zones wide enough to support a high-grade bulk mineable open pit target at the San Marcial Project,” said Goldplay President and CEO Marcio Fonseca. “The sampling program is progressing with pending results expected to lead to an updated resource estimation by the December quarter of 2018.”
The company is working towards announcing an updated resource estimate by December 2018. In order to accomplish this, Goldplay is conducting geological, geochemical and structural modelling within the existing mineralized sones so as to establish targets for down-dip and along-strike drilling that will take place once the company receives its drilling permits.
