Copper Lake Resources (TSXV:CPL) today (May 23) announced results of its winter drilling program on the Marshall Lake copper-zinc-silver-gold property located 250 km northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
The company said the drill program meant it could identify future priorities.
As highlighted in the press release:
- Massive Sulphides – Billiton Main Zone 30 metre Step Out
- 1.0 m at 3.20 percent copper, 8.35 percent zinc, 367.00 g/t silver and 8.01 g/t gold in hole MAR-18-07
- Near Surface Copper Stringer Zone – Gazooma Zone Step Out
- 25.30 m at 1.07 percent copper, 20.1 g/t silver from depth of 1.05 m, including 13.85 m at 1.54 percent copper, 28.30 g/t silver from 11.20 m to 25.05 m in hole GAZ-18-01
As quoted in the press release, chief executive officer of Copper Lake, Terry MacDonald said:
“We are delighted that these step-out holes demonstrate room to expand known zones. The high silver and gold precious metals content at Billiton was not fully recognized previously. Despite extensive prior work, historic drilling was very shallow and mineralization remains open in multiple directions and as yet untested at depth. The 2018 drill program fulfills our expenditure requirements to earn a 75 percent interest in the Marshall Lake property.”
