Primero Mining Corp. (TSE:P) (NYSE:PPP), the operator of the San Dimas gold mine in Mexico, climbed Wednesday after saying new drilling results from its Black Fox property in Ontario continue to confirm and expand the known high-grade mineralization.
Shares advanced more than 3%, to C$8.50 as of 1:05pm ET in Toronto.
The company also provided updated mineral reserves and resources for its Black Fox complex, which includes the Black Fox mine and the Grey Fox exploration property.
Primero is in the midst of a $16.8 million exploration program at the complex, which includes 132,100 metres of drilling split between the Black Fox mine and the Grey Fox asset. So far, about 8,330 metres and 22,780 metres, respectively, have been drilled at each property to date in 2014.
