Process IQ, Orway Mineral Consultants and Perseus Mining Limited- have been awarded the METS Ignited Collaboration Award 2019 for their work with Perseus Mining at the Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana. The award was announced at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) 2019 Gala Dinner last week in Melbourne.
The solution implemented by the consortium partners included the installation and use of MillSlicer instrumentation, MillStar (model-based control system) and Orway IQ’s MillROC which facilitated real time comminution modelling and analysis to be conducted by Orway IQ experts. Process IQ and Orway Mineral Consultants formed Orway IQ — a JV to deliver MillROC, harnessing the expertise of both companies as well as the site and corporate metallurgical expertise of Perseus Mining.
The METS Ignited Collaboration Award recognises the success of the collaboration efforts of Australian METS companies, mine operators and researchers working together to improve productivity, sustainability and efficiency.
