TMAC drills more high grades at Doris North BTD Extension zone

Toronto-based TMAC Resources continues its underground expansion and in-fill drilling at the Doris North BTD Extension zone at the Hope Bay gold mine 65 km east of Bathurst Inlet. The work has confirmed the continuity of high grade mineralization.

The drill program includes sill development in advance of ore production from the zone in the fourth quarter.

Highlights from the recent underground drill program include hole TMBE-19-50148 that returned 196.1 g/t gold over 6.8 metres; and TMDBE-19-50510 that returned 31.6 g/t over 1.2 metres and 26.8 g/t over 9.3 metres; and hole TMDBE-19-50528 that tested 87.5 g/t gold over 6.6 metres, and 19.7 g/t over 4.9 metres.

TMAC is developing the southern portion of the Doris North BTD Extension zone, with sill development on five levels in preparation for longhole mining. In addition, the exploration drive is being extended 125 metres to the north, which will allow further expansion drilling late this year and next.
