Initial project activities are under way at the R250-million cash-funded East Manganese project in Hotazel, Northern Cape, where the hot sun will be harvested to provide solar power to the mine’s infrastructure. The development forms part of the company’s strategy of building a manganese portfolio in the Northern Cape and diversifying the company’s portfolio, particularly in bulk minerals.
