Research done at Curtin University has developed a new method to extract platinum metal from ore, delivering an economically viable processing method for the Panton Sill platinum group metal (PGM) deposit, in Western Australia.
The state government through the Minerals Research Institute of Western Australia (MRIWA), and industry sponsor Panoramic Resources, which owns the Panton project, supported the research.
