Gold remains softer U.S. sales of new U.S. homes rise 0.6% in April

(Kitco News) – Gold prices remained on the defensive Tuesday after government data showed that sales of new U.S. single-family homes rose by 0.6% in April to a seasonally adjusted and annualized pace of 623,000. Spot gold was last down $11.20 to $1,716.40 an ounce.
