A scoping study into the Katanning gold project, in Western Australia, has confirmed the viability of a stand-alone operation, ASX-listed Ausgold said on Friday.
The scoping study estimated that Katanning could produce around 50 000 oz/y of gold, over mine life of more than seven years, based on the current resource of 33.9-million tonnes, grading 1.1 g/t gold for 1.2-million ounce of contained gold.
