Vancouver-based Gatling Exploration says it has successfully connected two of its three gold deposits along the 4.5-km trend at its Larder property. The Bear and Cheminis zones – previously thought to be distinct – now appear to be part of a larger mineralized trend extending at least 2.5 km along strike.
The Larder property is 35 km east of Kirkland Lake and wholly owned by Gatling.
With the Bear and Cheminis zones connected, Gatling is undertaking a step out drill program along the Cadillac-Larder break, believing that the Fernland zone is connected to the other two.
Recent highlights from drilling include these:
- Hole GTR-19-017: 1.5 g/t gold over 36.8 metres, including 2.0 g/t over 14.8 metres;
- Hole GTR-19-009 : 10.6 g/t gold over 5.0 metres; and
- Hole GTR-19-008: 12.3 g/t gold over 5.0 metres.
The Larder project has a historical (non-compliant) resource of 335,000 indicated tonnes at 4.07 g/t gold and containing 43,800 oz. and 5.1 million inferred tonnes at 5.55 g/t and containing 917,000 oz. of gold.
