A Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant maiden mineral resource of 240 000 oz has been reported for the Gidgee gold project, in Western Australia. ASX-listed Gateway Mining MD Peter Langworthy on Thursday said that the completion of a maiden resource for the Whistler and Montague deposits represented an important first step in Gateway’s strategy to develop a new large-scale gold project at Gidgee.
