Mining major BHP and its joint venture partner Mitsubishi have awarded ASX-listed Downer EDI a A$200-million, two-year mining services contract at the Goonyella Riverside coal mine, in Queensland. The contract will start on October 1 and replaces an existing contract which started in 2016 and expired at the end of September this year. The new contract has the provision to be extended for another three-year period.
