Coal miner New Hope Corporation on Monday followed through on its threats, dismissing 150 workers from its New Acland mine, in Queensland.
The company on Friday warned of the imminent redundancies in a bid to prompt the Queensland government into action regarding the award of a mining lease for the Stage 3 operations at New Acland.
