Fatality halts Bootu Creek

ASX-listed OM Holdings was on Saturday forced to suspend operations at its Bootu Creek manganese mine, in the Northern Territory, following a fatality at the operation.

A 59-year old mining employee was fatally injured over the weekend, during a ‘substantial wall failure’ at the mine, with the Northern Territory police saying that the employee was engulfed under a ‘significant volume of soil and rock’.
