Gold miner AngloGold Ashanti’s board of directors and management believe the company’s management and governance approach provides an effective way to manage the risks associated with tailings storage facilities (TSFs). The company has 34 TSFs across its global portfolio, of which 60% are active, 20% are being remined and 20% are inactive facilities.
