The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) has raised concerns over legislation considered in the state Parliament to amend the royalty rates on bauxite exports.
The Queensland Parliament reaffirmed a 2008 royalty decision maintaining the existing minimum royalty rate on bauxite for export A$2/t and a minimum rate of A$1.50/t for bauxite used in Queensland, such as for alumina production.
