The company continues to expand its geographical footprint, both in the Philippines and the United States.

UGE International Ltd. (UGE:TSX.V; UGEIF:OTC) announced in a news release it has been contracted to install solar power systems for two customers, one each in the Philippines and New York.

For this new Philippines client, Neogrande, a dried noodles manufacturer and exporter, UGE will install a 100 kilowatt (kW) system. For its existing New York customer, UGE will build an 82 kW system atop a mini-storage facility on Long Island. The renewable energy firm will engineer both projects and carry them out over the next six to nine months. Once completed, both should generate about $300,000 in revenue for UGE.

In other news, the company made significant progress on two existing contracts. As for the Peterborough project, it finished two more sites, leaving four remaining. Regarding the Nature Spring project in the Philippines, UGE completed the third site.

“It has been a very busy start to the year, both for project milestones and for developing new solar projects,” CEO Nick Blitterswyk said in the release.
