Gold miner Kinross has reported a drop in adjusted earnings and also posted weaker production results, but the miner pointed out that its output and costs were in line with its guidance.
Kinross produced 2.45-million gold-equivalent ounces (GEO) at an all-in-sustaining cost (AISC) of $965/oz, and compares with 2.67-million GEO in 2017. Fourth-quarter production was 610 152 GEO, at an AISC of $961/oz, which was below the corresponding period’s performance of 652 710 GEO.
