Toronto’s Wesdome Gold Mines is enjoying continued success as it chalks up more high grades from its exploration drilling program at the Kiena gold mine in Val d’Or. Focused on the Deep A zone, recent work has extended the zone both up and down plunge.
The Deep A zone has yielded the following highlights since the recent resource estimate:
- Hole 6384A: 33.7 g/t gold over 30.6 metres core length (28.4 g/t cut, 15.0 metres true width)
- Hole 6378: 36.5 g/t gold over 7.0 metres core length (18.4 g/t cut, 5.0 metres true width)
- Hole 6392: 153.4 g/t gold over 1.4 metres core length (35.4 g/t cut, 1.3 metres true width)
- Hole 6402: 51.9 g/t gold over 7.6 metres core length (17.9 g/t cut, 7.6 metres true width)
- Hole 6409: 39.8 g/t gold over 4.7 metres core length (20.0 g/t cut, 3.6 metres true width)
- All assays cut to 90.0 g/t Au. True widths are estimated.
The latest resource estimate was published in December 2018. The Deep A zone has 310,300 indicated tonnes at 9.95 g/t gold and 656,100 inferred tonnes at 11.43 g/t. Contained ounces are estimated at 99,300 and 241,100 oz., respectively.
For the eniena complex, the measured and indicated restire Kource is 1.0 million tonnes grading 6.38 g/t gold for 211.100 contained oz. The inferred portion is 968,900 tonnes at 9.28 g/t for 287,400 contained oz.
