{"id":860633,"date":"2018-07-19T16:31:57","date_gmt":"2018-07-19T16:31:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=860633"},"modified":"2018-07-19T16:31:57","modified_gmt":"2018-07-19T16:31:57","slug":"oz-minerals-releases-quarterly-report-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=860633","title":{"rendered":"OZ Minerals Releases Quarterly Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-style:italic;font-size:16px\">By  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investingnews.com\/daily\/resource-investing\/base-metals-investing\/copper-investing\/oz-minerals-releases-quarterly-report\/\">Scott Tibballs<\/a><\/span>  <\/p>\n<div class=\"ftpimagefix\" style=\"float:left\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investingnews.com\/daily\/resource-investing\/base-metals-investing\/copper-investing\/oz-minerals-releases-quarterly-report\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.investingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Gold-Outlook-3D-1-Small-2-2.jpeg\" alt=\"gold outlook free report\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>OZ Minerals (ASX:OZL) has released its quarterly report for Q2 2018, detailing updates on its operations and production as well as the Avanco takeover.<\/p>\n<p>The company is on track to fall within 2018 guidance for copper production, producing 27,131 tonnes in Q2 bringing its year-to-date total to 54,597 with a 2018 guidance of 100,000-110,000 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>Year-to-date gold production sits at 58,994 ounces, with a guidance of 120,000-130,000 ounces.<\/p>\n<p>As highlighted in the press release:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prominent Hill delivering to plan on all production and cost guidance.<\/li>\n<li>Carrapateena project on track; above ground infrastructure construction underway, airstrip complete.<\/li>\n<li>Carrapateena province expansion drilling at Khamsin returns 402.6m at 1.55 percent copper equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>West Musgrave PFS advancing; Massive Sulphide mineralization intersected at nearby Yappsu prospect.<\/li>\n<li>Avanco compulsory acquisition in progress; integration underway, strategic planning commenced.<\/li>\n<li>Strong cash balance of AU$454 million after Avanco shareholder payments (AU$201 million), investment into Carrapateena (AU$78 million) and tax payments (AU$100 million).<\/li>\n<li>Corporate head office relocated to Adelaide Airport business district.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Managing Director and CEO of OZ, Andrew Cole said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe takeover of Avanco is now in compulsory acquisition stage, having received acceptances from over 90 percent of Avanco shareholders in late June. We have a dedicated integration team in Brazil working on optimizing the asset portfolio and accelerating growth as part of a holistic business plan.
