With trade war rumblings driving investors into the arms of that which is shiny it shouldn&#8217;t come as too much of a surprise. The company started on C$0.39 and eventually reached C$0.73, almost doubling its value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>While the small company has not released any news this week, its sister company in the <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.augustacorp.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>Augusta Group<\/span><\/a><span>, Arizona Mining (TSX:<\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investingnews.com\/stock-information\/?symbol=az:ca\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>AZ<\/span><\/a><span>) was purchased by Australia&#8217;s South32 (ASX:<\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investingnews.com\/stock-information\/?symbol=s32:au\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>S32<\/span><\/a><span>) <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investingnews.com\/australia-investing\/south32-acquires-taste-arizona-minings-zinc-lead-projects\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>for a cool US$1.3 billion<\/span><\/a><span>, likely helping Armor&#8217;s value along. The third company in the group, Titan Mining (TSX:<\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investingnews.com\/stock-information\/?symbol=ti:ca\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>TI<\/span><\/a><span>) also enjoyed a jump of almost 25 percent over the same period.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Pacton Gold<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span>Gold explorer Pacton Gold has <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investingnews.com\/daily\/resource-investing\/precious-metals-investing\/gold-investing\/pacton-gold-continues-expansion-australia-pilbara\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>been snapping up land in the Pilbara recently<\/span><\/a><span>, and is now the third-largest landowner in the mineral-rich region of Western Australia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It&#8217;s enjoyed a healthy run up the charts in value off the back of its acquisitions, and this week it announced more, with the company <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pactongold.com\/index.php\/investors-en\/news-releases\/193-pacton-gold-to-acquire-highly-prospective-bellary-dome-project-in-pilbara-mining-region-where-multiple-nuggets-discovered\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>announcing it would be acquiring the highly prospective Bellary Dome<\/span><\/a><span> where it said multiple gold nuggets had been discovered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>With that news, the company&#8217;s share price rose 36.54 percent over the week to C$0.71.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Golden Dawn Minerals<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span>Canadian gold miner Golden Dawn Minerals has operating mines across British Columbia and Washington state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>While there was no news this week, earlier this month<\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/goldendawnminerals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/GOM_PP_Mining-Plan-June-2018_RH_working_Version-2_10June2018.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\"><span> it released news on continued progress<\/span><\/a><span> at its Greenwood precious metals project and the Lexington mine. Its <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/goldendawnminerals.com\/greenwood-precious-metals-project-lexington-mine-sample-results\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>most recent news was a release<\/span><\/a><span> detailing sample results from Lexington, with \u2018potentially economic grades&#8217; of gold-copper mineralization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Golden Dawn&#8217;s share price increased by 35.14 percent over the week, going from C$0.19 to C$0.25.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Medgold Resources<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span>Explorer Medgold Resources has two projects underway in Serbia, where unsurprisingly it&#8217;s drilling for gold.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The company started the week positively by <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/medgoldresources.com\/medgold-resources-drills-26-1-m-2-4-g-t-au-219-g-t-ag-tlamino-gold-project-serbia\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>releasing news on its Tlamino project<\/span><\/a><span>, where it reported positive sample results from drilling funded by option agreement partner Fortuna Silver Mines (TSX:<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investingnews.com\/stock-information\/?symbol=fvi:ca\" rel=\"noopener\">FVI<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>With highlights of 284 grams per tonne of silver reported, Medgold&#8217;s share price jumped 23.08 percent from C$0.38 to C$0.48 over the week.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Aurion Resources<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span>Canadian explorer Aurion Resources pulled on its best hiking boots and <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aurionresources.com\/news\/2018\/aurion-commences-2018-field-exploration-program-and-reports-two-new-high-grade-gold-discoveries\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>set off on its summer exploration program<\/span><\/a><span> at its project areas in northern Finland, and investors clearly followed them out into the woods after hearing about its recent gold discoveries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to its Thursday (June 21) release, 53 chip samples at its returned an average grade of 18.6 grams per tonne of gold, with more assays pending.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The company&#8217;s share price rose by 17.33 percent over the week, from C$0.7 to C$0.88.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Data for 5 Top TSXV Stocks articles is retrieved each Friday at 10:30 a.m. PST using The Globe and Mail&#8217;s <\/span><\/i><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.globeinvestor.com\/v5\/content\/filters.html\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span>market data filter<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span>.
