Although the last couple of years have been a roller coaster for mining companies, many investors interested in precious metals like the fact that silver has considerable more industry usage than its more notorious counterpart gold.<\/p>\n<p>According to a recent\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.marketwatch.com\/thetell\/2013\/02\/13\/hsbc-polishes-silver-outlook-sees-demand-rise-in-2013-2014\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">HSBC report<\/a>\u00a0on the outlook for silver in 2013-2014, there are five reasons that may drive silver prices higher:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Industrial Usage<\/li>\n<li>Demand based on Monetary Easing<\/li>\n<li>Jewelry<\/li>\n<li>Coins and Bar Demand<\/li>\n<li>Use in Solar Power Devices<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If silver prices move to higher levels as expected, I believe a few companies stand out to benefit.
