Midas Gold, which is seeking approval to mine for gold in Idaho, has added the US Forest Service (USFS) as a party in a lawsuit over water quality concerns near its Stibnite gold project site.<\/p>\n
Midas Gold is being sued by the Nez Perce Tribe, but the Canadian company contends that the water quality concerns stemmed from activities that occurred decades ago \u2013 before the company existed.<\/p>\n
In a statement by Midas Gold Idaho CEO Laurel Sayer, the company stated that it had never mined at any of the locations where the Nez Perce Tribe had identified water quality issued.
