Key moves in the mining sector<\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alister Hume<\/strong> is now the business development manager for Altus Strategies<\/strong>, a mining royalty company.<\/p>\n

Maurizio Napoli<\/strong> has retired from his roles as interim president and VP of exploration with Crystal Lake<\/strong> Mining<\/strong>. Cole Evans<\/strong> has assumed the president and CEO role.<\/p>\n

Jamie Beck<\/strong> has been named president, CEO and a director of Filo Mining<\/strong>. Adam Lundin<\/strong> has stepped down as Filo Mining\u2019s CEO and transitioned to the chairman role. Erin Johnson<\/strong> has also joined the board; Johnson is managing director of the Lundin Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Nick Winer<\/strong> has been appointed the VP of exploration for Great Panther Mining<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Blair Naughty<\/strong> is now the president and CEO of Great Thunder Gold<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Greg Gibson <\/strong>is joining Kirkland Lake Gold<\/strong> as a special advisor to the CEO on business process improvement.<\/p>\n

As the Metso-Outotec<\/strong> merger closing nears, the company has announced an additional appointment: Carita Himberg<\/strong> has been named senior VP of human resources and will be a member of the company\u2019s executive team. She will start in this new role before the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Luther Nip<\/strong> has been named interim CFO of Monument Mining<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Alan Hitchborn<\/strong> has joined New Placer Dome\u2019s<\/strong> advisory board as a senior technical advisor. Hitchborn is an exploration geologist with almost 40 years of experience in mineral exploration and mine operations.<\/p>\n

Chris Zahovskis<\/strong> has resigned from his role as president and CEO of Northcliff Resources<\/strong>. The company plans to search for a new president and CEO. Pending this appointment, Andrew Ing<\/strong>, the company\u2019s current CFO, will act as interim CEO and Luqman Khan<\/strong> will be appointed interim CFO.<\/p>\n

David Prins<\/strong> has resigned from his post as VP of operations with Pretium Resources<\/strong> and will be leaving the company on Aug. 31.<\/p>\n

Kelso Cartwright<\/strong> is now the CFO of Sable Resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thiago Diniz<\/strong> has joined ValOre Metals<\/strong> as an in-country project geologist.<\/p>\n

Sandy Noyes<\/strong> is now on the board of Cameo Industries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Susanne Hermans<\/strong> has been named a director of Crystal Lake Mining<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Robert Friedland<\/strong> has been named non-executive chairman of Gold X Mining<\/strong>. Paul Matysek<\/strong>, the company\u2019s current chairman and CEO, will remain a director of Gold X and its CEO.<\/p>\n

Tom English<\/strong> is now on the board of Golden Tag Resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Michael Kenyon<\/strong> has joined the board of Great Bear Resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Shastri Ramnath<\/strong> is now on the board of Jaguar Mining<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Peter Barnes<\/strong> has been named the chair of Mag Silver\u2019s<\/strong> board, replacing Jonathan Rubenstein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jon Bey<\/strong> has been appointed to the board of MinKap Resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Alex Henry<\/strong> is now the chairman of Moneta Porcupine\u2019s<\/strong> board. Mark Ashcroft<\/strong> has also been appointed to the board of directors with Warren Bates<\/strong> and Patricia Sheahan<\/strong> stepping down from the board.<\/p>\n

Charles Riopel<\/strong> is now the interim chairman of North American Nickel\u2019s<\/strong> board and Douglas Ford<\/strong> has been named interim lead independent director.<\/p>\n

Simon Jackson<\/strong> is now the non-executive chairman of Sarama Resources<\/strong>. Adrian Byass<\/strong> and Steve<\/strong> Zaninovich<\/strong> have also joined the board with Sean Harvey<\/strong> and David Groves<\/strong> stepping down as directors.<\/p>\n

Maria Nathanail<\/strong> has been appointed to the board of Silver Mountain Mines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Paula Caldwell St-Onge<\/strong> has joined Teranga Gold\u2019s<\/strong> board of directors with Christopher Lattanzi<\/strong> and Edward Goldenberg<\/strong> stepping down from the board.<\/p>\n
