{"id":1190683,"date":"2020-06-17T08:15:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-17T13:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=1027173"},"modified":"2020-06-17T08:15:00","modified_gmt":"2020-06-17T13:15:00","slug":"great-thunder-acquires-southern-star-property-in-quebec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1190683","title":{"rendered":"Great Thunder acquires Southern Star property in Quebec"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Great Thunder Gold (CSE: GTG) announced this week that it closed the acquisition of the Southern Star property in Quebec, Canada.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignright\">\n<blockquote>\n<p>Southern Star is located 6.5 kilometres south of the Fenelon\/Tabasco deposit held by Wallbridge Mining Company<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>With the addition of this 8,100-hectare land pack, Great Thunder now holds 10,677 hectares in the Fenelon Gold District.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new property acquisition, with encouraging gold and base metal potential, protects more than 81 square kilometres of the Brouillan-Fenelon geological group, which is made up of felsic to mafic volcano-sedimentary rocks,\u201d the company said in a media statement.<\/p>\n<p>To acquire 100% of Southern Star, Great Thunder had to pay the vendor $12,500 and issue 450,100 common shares.
