Neutla is located in the central Guanajuato state.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignright\">\n<blockquote>\n<p>In 2018, <a href=\"https:\/\/basic.10jqka.com.cn\/ajax\/usaph\/pubDetail\/1bc39b9c702218c8_html\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Golden Minerals sold (opens in a new tab)\">Golden Minerals sold<\/a>, for $3 million, 100% of its right, title and interest in and to the Celaya exploration property to Minera Adularia Exploraci\u00f3n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>G\u00f3mez Urrutia and his group also said Adularia dumps waste in un-waterproofed pits, which means that those residues are able to make it to the aquifers and pollute water flowing from the Neutla dam, a natural protected area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe company has been acting with total impunity for a long time and hasn\u2019t been punished or asked to halt operations, despite the fact that it has already caused severe damages to the local wildlife,\u201d a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"media statement (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/eyoq-8fxqaacu2z\/\" >media statement<\/a> issued by the union reads. \u201cWe are making an urgent call to federal and state environmental authorities to stop this ecological and sanitary crime, to start an investigation and, if needed, to remove the company\u2019s mining concession.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Los Mineros, people at Neutla have also been denouncing water shortages caused by the mine\u2019s use of the community\u2019s wells.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prior to Los Mineros\u2019 intervention, the local government of Comonfort, a municipality to which Neutla belongs, took water samples from the wells to be independently analyzed.
