Chile\u2019s Ministry of Mines was also asked for guidance, as were Ecuadorian experts in healthcare and mine safety.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Besides these guidelines, on Friday, president Len\u00edn Moreno approved by decree the establishment of logistic corridors so that strategic sectors are able to operate while being guarded by the military.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is expected that the largest operations in the South American country, Lundin Gold\u2019s (TSX: LUG) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/lundins-fruta-del-norte-produced-28678-oz-in-2019\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Fruta del Norte mine (opens in a new tab)\">Fruta del Norte mine<\/a> and CRCC-Tongguan\u2019s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Mirador mine (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/web\/ecuador-sends-first-export-of-copper-concentrate-from-chinese-owned-mirador-mine\/\" >Mirador mine<\/a>, gradually resume operations in the coming weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve resumed the transportation of mining materials and supplies from and to Fruta del Norte following strict health and safety protocols,\u201d Lundin posted on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Twitter (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LundinGoldEC\/status\/1261416134709874688\" >Twitter<\/a>. \u201cEvery action has been done in coordination with national and provincial authorities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Reuters, smaller mines south of the country have already started moving ore and concentrate to port.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As of Sunday, Ecuador had 32,763 confirmed cases of covid-19 and reported 2,688 deaths from the disease.&nbsp;<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
