{"id":1180809,"date":"2020-04-27T19:07:25","date_gmt":"2020-04-28T00:07:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=1021912"},"modified":"2020-04-27T19:07:25","modified_gmt":"2020-04-28T00:07:25","slug":"mas-gold-reports-encouraging-results-for-point","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1180809","title":{"rendered":"MAS Gold reports encouraging results for Point"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MAS Gold\u00a0has announced the results of initial flotation and metallurgical tests on material from the Point gold area, which lies within the Preview North property in the La Ronge gold belt in Canada&#8217;s Saskatchewan province.<\/p>\n<div class='d-flex justify-content-center d-xs-block d-sm-block d-md-none'>\n<div id='div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0'><script>googletag.cmd.push(function() {googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0');});<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Flotation test work suggests average gold recoveries of over 88% with a target grind size of less than 75 microns.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignright\">\n<blockquote>\n<p> Flotation test work suggests average gold recoveries of over 88% with a target grind size of less than 75 microns. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAchieving preliminary flotation gold recovery test results of greater than 88% from our Point gold deposit is very encouraging, especially as these results closely match the better than 89% flotation recoveries previously reported for our North Lake gold deposit,\u201d Ron Netolitzky, the company\u2019s president and CEO, said in a release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough more metallurgical studies are required, the similarity of the North Lake and Point metallurgical recoveries suggest the possibility of the Point deposit as a source of high-grade, gold mineralized feed that could be co-mingled with material from our North Lake deposit for processing at a centralized mill, further supporting our hub-and-spoke mining and processing thesis for our properties in the La Ronge gold belt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The testwork results indicate that flotation followed by cyanidation and on-site production of gold-silver dor\u00e9 would be the likely optimal option for the Point deposit; this same flow sheet was brought forward for North Lake material.<\/p>\n<p>MAS holds a total of 338 sq. km of ground within four properties in Saskatchewan\u2019s La Ronge belt.
