businesses, essentially allowing <a aria-label=\"companies to resume mining (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/canadian-malartic-westwood-mines-resuming-operations-in-quebec\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">companies to resume mining<\/a> as early as Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Glencore currently operates the Raglan nickel mine and the Matagami zinc mine in Quebec, <a aria-label=\"which were shut down (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/web\/glencore-closes-some-operations-in-four-countries-over-coronavirus-curbs\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">which were shut down<\/a> in late March along with operations in three other countries.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, in Colombia, the company said its Prodeco mining operations will remain on care and maintenance until at least April 27, as a result of an extension to the nationwide quarantine.<\/p>\n<p>In Peru, it was <a aria-label=\"announced that operations (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/antamina-mine-halts-operations\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced that operations<\/a> at the Antamina copper-zinc mine &#8212; a joint venture with BHP, Teck Resources and Mitsubishi &#8212; would be halted for at least two weeks to mitigate the spread of covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>In Zambia, Glencore is currently in discussions with the government on a &#8220;way forward&#8221;
