{"id":1172652,"date":"2020-03-19T16:51:01","date_gmt":"2020-03-19T22:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=1017618"},"modified":"2020-03-19T16:51:01","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T22:51:01","slug":"northern-vertex-gets-expansion-permit-for-moss-gold-mine-stock-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1172652","title":{"rendered":"Northern Vertex gets expansion permit for Moss gold mine, stock up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Northern Vertex Mining (TSX.V: NEE) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newswire.ca\/news-releases\/northern-vertex-receives-federal-permit-for-the-expansion-of-operations-for-the-moss-gold-mine-in-northwest-arizona-850001279.html\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"announced Thursday (opens in a new tab)\">announced Thursday<\/a> the receipt by its wholly-owned\u00a0Arizona\u00a0subsidiary Golden Vertex of final federal permitting approval for the Phase III expansion at the Moss Mine. <\/p>\n<div class='d-flex justify-content-center d-xs-block d-sm-block d-md-none'>\n<div id='div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0'><script>googletag.cmd.push(function() {googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0');});<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This permitting approval allows the company to expand its<br \/>\ncurrent operations from its patented claims onto its surrounding unpatented<br \/>\nclaims on federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) managed public lands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The expansion, along with its <a href=\"https:\/\/northernvertex.com\/news-releases\/2020\/northern-vertex-reports-update-to-mineral-resource-estimate-at-moss-gold-mine\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"resource update (opens in a new tab)\">resource update<\/a> is expected to significantly extend the life of the Moss Mine, Northern Vertex said. <\/p>\n<p>In March, the miner announced total measured and indicated mineral resources of\u00a0360,000 ounces\u00a0of gold\u00a0and 3.8m ounces of silver within 20,560,000 tons at an average grade of\u00a00.0175 oz\/st gold and 0.2171 oz\/st silver. Inferred mineral resources at Moss mine are\u00a0129,000 ounces of gold\u00a0and 1.37m ounces of silver within 11,960,000 tons at an average grade of 0.0108 oz\/st gold and 0.1149 oz\/st silver. <\/p>\n<p>Additional infill drilling to depth has the potential to further expand the mineral resource in the West Pit area. The mineral resource further to the west of the area drilled in 2019 has the potential to increase with additional infill drilling, Northern Vertex said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cThe expansion is a very important milestone for the company as it is expected to increase efficiencies that will significantly reduce operating costs at the mine,\u201d\u00a0Kenneth Berry, president and CEO said a media release. &#8220;In addition, the expansion also allows for exploration drilling to be carried out in order to expand the current mineral resource and extend the mine life.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>At market close Thursday, Northern Vertex shares were<br \/>\nup over 5% on the TSX.
