{"id":1169182,"date":"2020-03-03T15:46:31","date_gmt":"2020-03-03T21:46:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=1015962"},"modified":"2020-03-03T15:46:31","modified_gmt":"2020-03-03T21:46:31","slug":"kinross-gold-credit-rating-upgraded-by-moodys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1169182","title":{"rendered":"Kinross Gold credit rating upgraded by Moody\u2019s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kinross Gold (TSX:K, NYSE:KGC) received a boost on Tuesday as <a aria-label=\"Moody\u2019s Investor Service upgraded (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kinross.com\/news-and-investors\/news-releases\/press-release-details\/2020\/Kinross-upgraded-by-Moodys-to-investment-grade\/default.aspx\" >Moody\u2019s Investor Service upgraded<\/a> the Toronto-based miner&#8217;s credit rating to investment grade, joining Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings the third credit ratings agency to do so.<\/p>\n<div class='d-flex justify-content-center d-xs-block d-sm-block d-md-none'>\n<div id='div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0'><script>googletag.cmd.push(function() {googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0');});<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Kinross\u2019 senior unsecured notes rating was upgraded to Baa3 from Ba1 with a stable outlook.<\/p>\n<p>Moody\u2019s noted that the upgrade was due to Kinross\u2019 cash cost being in line with investment grade peers, steady production and conservative financial policies.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s total liquidity as of December 31, 2019 was more than $2 billion, including cash and cash equivalents of $575 million and available credit of approximately $1.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Kinross currently has mines and projects in the US, Brazil, Russia, Mauritania, Chile and Ghana.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kinross&rsquo;
