{"id":1160835,"date":"2020-01-20T13:04:47","date_gmt":"2020-01-20T19:04:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=1011752"},"modified":"2020-01-20T13:04:47","modified_gmt":"2020-01-20T19:04:47","slug":"sun-metals-extends-421-zone-at-stardust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1160835","title":{"rendered":"Sun Metals extends 421 zone at Stardust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Explorer Sun Metals has reported results from its 100% owned 96-sq.-km Stardust project which suggest extensions of the 421 zone along its plunge.<\/p>\n<div class='d-flex justify-content-center d-xs-block d-sm-block d-md-none'>\n<div id='div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0'><script>googletag.cmd.push(function() {googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0');});<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Drill highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>26.3 metres of 2.59% copper-equivalent;<\/li>\n<li>7.2 metres of 3.29% copper-equivalent; and<\/li>\n<li>11 metres of 6% copper-equivalent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The first two intercepts are interpreted to represent an offset extension of the 421 zone up-dip and to the south and are the southernmost test of this zone to date.<\/p>\n<p>The last intercept suggests a down-dip extension of the 421 zone mineralization.<\/p>\n<p>The high-grade copper-gold mineralization at the 421 zone has now been traced over 325 metres down-dip and remains open. The most recent results also bring 421 closer to the Canyon Creek deposit, suggesting potential future mining synergies.<\/p>\n<p>The Stardust project features a 2,200 metre corridor in a carbonate replacement setting with mineralization in the form of skarns, mantos, chimneys and veins.
