[GTWO:TSXV] <\/strong>announces additional drilling results from the OKO\/AREMU project, region 7, Guyana.\u00a0 Drilling has continued to focus on the OKO deformation zone (ODZ), where the Company announced the discovery of high-grade gold mineralization in a press release of November 19, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s29050.pcdn.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/26.OKO-drilling.19NOV.final_NewMap.pdf\"><strong><em>Click here to view the November 19 2019 press release.<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Drill holes OKD \u2013 1 through OKD \u2013 9 outlined an initial strike length of approximately 700 metres as defined by hole OKD \u2013 5 to the south (8.2 m @ 9.1 g\/t Au) and OKD \u2013 9 to the north (2.3 m @ 7.8 g\/t Au).\u00a0 Recent drilling has been able to extend the strike length of mineralization at the ODZ a further four hundred meters to 1.1 km.<\/p>\n<p>Drill holes OKD \u2013 10 through 12 were successful in establishing additional mineralization to the north with holes OKD \u2013 10 returning 19.5 m @ 2.0 g\/t Au including 3.5m @ 6.7 g\/t Au. Mineralization at the ODZ continues to remain open to the north and south. Results are tabulated below:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Table 1.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Table-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57278\" src=\"https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Table-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"783\" height=\"264\" srcset=\"https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Table-1.jpg 783w, https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Table-1-300x101.jpg 300w, https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Table-1-768x259.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 783px) 100vw, 783px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Widths are drill indicated core length as insufficient drilling has been undertaken to determine true widths at this time. Average grades are calculated with un-capped gold assays, as insufficient drilling has been completed to determine capping levels for higher grade intercepts. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Reconnaissance holes were also drilled 100 m to the ESE of this new area with hole OKD \u2013 14 returning 3 m @ 4.2 g\/t Au.\u00a0 Additionally, a single hole was drilled 350 m west of holes OKD \u2013 10 through 12 which returned 3 m @ 5.0 g\/t Au.\u00a0 Collectively holes OKD \u2013 10 through 15 explored an east west area approximately 600 m long forming a \u201cT\u201d above the ODZ.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>A plan view of all the drilling to date is available <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.g2goldfields.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Fig.1_G2_OkoCrusherHill_ddh-plan-view.Jan11_PRESS.pdf\"><strong><em>here.<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Fig.1 ddh plan view<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>G2 also drilled in three holes OKD &#8211; 17 through 19 in the central part of ODZ.\u00a0 Of particular note was hole OKD \u2013 17 which returned 1.4 m @ 8 g\/t Au as well as 4.1m @ 12.9 g\/t Au.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>A complete list of new drill results is available <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.g2goldfields.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/table2.link_JAN-14-assay-tables.pdf\"><strong><em>here.<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Table.2<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Discussion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drilling to date has outlined numerous high-grade gold intersections along the 1.1 km long ODZ.\u00a0 The highest grades discovered to date lie within the area bounded by 704200 to 704600.\u00a0 Highlights of high-grade holes drilled in 2019 in this area include:<\/p>\n<p>Hole\u00a0\u00a0 OKD \u2013 1\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a06.0 m @ 15.8 \u00a0g\/t Au<\/p>\n<p>OKD \u2013 7\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a02.7 m @ 15.8 \u00a0g\/t Au<\/p>\n<p>and\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a01.7 m @\u00a0 30.8 g\/t Au<\/p>\n<p>OKD \u2013 3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 12.0 m @ 13.8 g\/t Au<\/p>\n<p>OKD \u2013 17\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01.4 m @ 8.0\u00a0\u00a0 g\/t Au<\/p>\n<p>and\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a04.1 m @ 12.9 g\/t Au<\/p>\n<p>OKD \u2013 5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a08.2m @ 9.1\u00a0\u00a0 g\/t Au<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>A plan view of the of central high-grade portion of the ODZ is available <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.g2goldfields.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Fig.2_G2_OkoCrusherHillNJan2020_PressRelease.pdf\"><strong><em>here.<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Fig.2<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Fig2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57279\" src=\"https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Fig2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"833\" height=\"558\" srcset=\"https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Fig2.jpg 833w, https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Fig2-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/resourceworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/G2Goldfields-Fig2-768x514.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 833px) 100vw, 833px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Significantly, all these high-grade sections lie within 100 m of surface.<\/p>\n<p>Dan Noone, V.P. of Exploration stated, \u201cOver the 1.1km length of the Oko Deformaton Zone (ODZ), gold mineralisation is encountered as high-grade NNE trending veins and as disseminated mineralization within the tightly folded carbonaceous shales.<\/p>\n<p>Results confirm that along the ODZ, gold mineralisation penetrates into the carbonaceous shales where the high-grade NE trending veins intersect the axial plane of the folding at an oblique angle. This generates wide, elongated, lozenge shaped bodies of disseminated mineralization within the carbonaceous shales which are the principal target of the next phase of drilling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>2020 Drill Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drilling is expected to commence mid January and will focus on<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Further defining and expanding known gold mineralization,<\/li>\n<li>Additional exploration north and south along strike of the ODZ,<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Regional exploration work at the Aremu and Tracy exploration targets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QA\/QC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drill core is logged and sampled in a secure core storage facility located on the Oko project site, Guyana. Core samples from the program are cut in half, using a diamond cutting saw, and are sent to MS Analytical Guyana, in Georgetown, Guyana, which is an accredited mineral analysis laboratory, for analysis. All samples are analysed for gold using standard Fire Assay-AA (atomic absorption) techniques. Samples returning over 10.0 g\/t gold are analyzed utilizing standard fire assay gravimetric methods. Certified gold reference standards, blanks and field duplicates are routinely inserted into the sample stream, as part of G2 Goldfield\u2019s quality control\/quality assurance program (QAQC).
