{"id":1156049,"date":"2019-12-17T09:13:14","date_gmt":"2019-12-17T15:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=1009424"},"modified":"2019-12-17T09:13:14","modified_gmt":"2019-12-17T15:13:14","slug":"condor-gold-sells-one-of-its-concessions-in-nicaragua-to-focus-on-la-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1156049","title":{"rendered":"Condor Gold sells one of its concessions in Nicaragua to focus on La India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nicaragua-focused Condor Gold (LON:CNR) (TSX:COG) has <a href=\"http:\/\/ca.condorgold.com\/sites\/default\/files\/news\/Condor%20Gold%20announces%20the%20sale%20of%20the%20Potrerillos%20Concession%20in%20Nicaragua.pdf\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">sold its Potrerillos exploration and exploitation concession<\/a> to Nicoz Resources, a subsidiary of Canadian junior Mako Mining (TSX-V: MKO) for $600,000.<\/p>\n<div class='d-flex justify-content-center d-xs-block d-sm-block d-md-none'>\n<div id='div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0'><script>googletag.cmd.push(function() {googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0');});<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The asset comprises 12 km2&nbsp;of sub surface mineral rights and is located in Nuevo Segovia, in the country\u2019s north, adjacent to and along strike from Mako&#8217;s San Albino gold project, which includes the former namesake mine.<\/p>\n<p>The net sale proceeds would be used<br \/>\nby Condor as working capital for its flagship La India gold project, a 313 km\u00b2<br \/>\nconcession package covering 98% of the historic La India Gold Mining District.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed open pit mine holds 9.85<br \/>\nmillion tonnes at 3.6 grams per tonne of gold for 1.14 million indicated<br \/>\nounces. It also has a total underground resource of 1.27 million tonnes at a<br \/>\ngrade of 5.8g\/t gold for 238,000 gold ounces in the indicated category and 5.47<br \/>\nmillion tonnes at a grade of 5.1g\/t gold for 889,000 ounces of gold in the<br \/>\ninferred category.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s plan is to start mining<br \/>\nfirst two satellites deposits \u2014 Mestiza and America \u2014 located about 2km and<br \/>\n4km, respectively, from the mine\u2019s processing plant. <\/p>\n<p>Condor Gold initially staked<br \/>\nconcessions in Nicaragua, Central America\u2019s largest country, in 2006.
