said the permit was the first of three contiguous concessions to be issued, which will result in the full tenement permitting of Mutamba.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote \/>\nMatilda Minerals, but can increase its stake to 35% upon delivery of a<br \/>\npre-feasibility study and ultimately to 51% upon delivery of a feasibility<br \/>\nstudy. <\/p>\n<p>The project contains an indicated and inferred mineral<br \/>\nresource of 4.4 billion tonnes, grading 3.9% total heavy minerals.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes as the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/savannah-resources-to-extract-quartz-glass-making-ceramic-at-lithium-mine-in-portugal\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">gears up to start commercial lithium production<\/a> in northern Portugal in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Mina do Barroso, arguably one of the most advanced lithium<br \/>\nmining concessions in Europe, is expected to become the continent\u2019s first<br \/>\nsignificant producer of spodumene, a hard-rock form of lithium.<\/p>\n<p>Savannah, which acquired a majority stake in the project in<br \/>\nMay 2017, has maintained a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mining.com\/savannah-resources-enters-lithium-race-europe\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fast paced development
