{"id":1154188,"date":"2019-12-05T09:00:55","date_gmt":"2019-12-05T15:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oilandgas-investments.com\/?p=3883"},"modified":"2019-12-05T09:00:55","modified_gmt":"2019-12-05T15:00:55","slug":"the-ground-floor-trade-with-the-dream-team-of-geology-turmalina-metals-tbx-tsxv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1154188","title":{"rendered":"The Ground Floor Trade with the Dream Team of Geology Turmalina Metals (TBX-TSXv)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Turmalina Metals (TBX:TSXV)<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/span>is the next high grade, tightly structured\u00a0venture from backers of<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong> K92 Mining (KNT-TSXv)<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0the hottest team in the junior gold sector.<\/p>\n<p>The stock price of K92 Mining has rocketed this year\u2026\u00a0up from 70 cents to $2.70 (almost 400%!) as their Kainantu Mine keeps churning out more and more gold at over 20g\/t (half an ounce or better!).<\/p>\n<p>Early investors in K92 have made as much as 15x their original investment.\u00a0 Turmalina Metals is their next venture\u00a0\u2013\u00a0and it just listed TUESDAY\u00a0\u2013 2 days ago!<\/p>\n<p>And they already have a high grade discovery \u2013 in fact, their <em>San Francisco<\/em> project may be the top of one of the highest-grade gold-copper tourmaline breccias ever discovered.<\/p>\n<p>Super-high-grade gold results that are close to surface\u00a0\u2013\u00a036.9 metres of 6.3 g\/t gold and 122 g\/t silver in one hole and 85 metres of 4.4 g\/t gold and 109 g\/t silver\u00a0\u2013\u00a0were released at the IPO.<\/p>\n<p>There are over 65 more breccias identified on their property\u00a0\u2013\u00a0the nearest one only 200 metres away. That makes <em>San Francisco<\/em> look more like a district than a property.<\/p>\n<p>A new 15-hole program will soon be underway\u00a0\u2013\u00a0as well as work on other breccias they&#8217;ve found.<\/p>\n<p>They have packaged all this up in a tight share structure\u00a0\u2013\u00a0with only 49 million shares out, the market cap of the company was just $25 million, and the Enterprise Value\u00a0\u2013\u00a0where you subtract the cash in the kitty or add the debt\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">was only $18 million.<\/span><\/em> K92 now has a market cap over $500 million.<\/p>\n<p>You can do the simple math on the potential that exists here at this early stage with Turmalina. <em>OK I\u2019ll do it for you<\/em>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<em>K92 has 20x the market cap of Turmalina.<\/em> Only 14 million of the shares are freely-tradeable.\u00a0 Turmalina has a MUCH tighter share structure than K92 did then\u00a0\u2013\u00a0increasing leverage for investors.<\/p>\n<p>In one sense, that\u2019s all you need to know. BUT\u2026 Turmalina has one of best creation stories of any junior mining company I\u2019ve ever been involved with\u00a0\u2013\u00a0and I\u2019ve been doing this since 1991.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #008000; font-size: medium;\"><strong>Three Worldly Geologists with One Focused Goal: <\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000; font-size: medium;\"> <strong>Find the Single Best South American Gold Project<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Everything seems to happen so fast in the stock market.\u00a0 K92\u2019s share price has soared higher and now this team has another gold venture ready to go.<\/p>\n<p>In the real world though these things take a lot more time\u2026\u00a0and EFFORT.<\/p>\n<p>Two years ago, a group of wealthy mining entrepreneurs including K92 Mining founder Bryan Slusarchuk tasked three of the top geologists on the planet with one goal:\u00a0 find the best advanced stage high-grade deposit in South America.<\/p>\n<p>One of these men was Doug Kirwin, who played a key role in the early days of getting K92 Mining their high-grade mine in Papua New Guinea.\u00a0 Kirwin led the geological team that discovered the massive Oyu Tolgoi mine in Mongolia, which was developed by Robert Friedland\u2019s Ivanhoe Mines.<\/p>\n<p>Kirwin knew exactly who to call\u00a0\u2013\u00a0his good friend Dr. Rohan Wolfe, now the CEO of Turmalina.<\/p>\n<p>Wolfe helped discover the Merlin Molybdenum-rhenium deposit in Australia, but his real value-add for Turmalina comes from another part of his resume: he spent five years working for mining legend Robert Friedland scouring everything in the Americas.\u00a0 He spent up to 200 days a year on the road, as Friedland\u2019s <em>Gold Hunter <\/em>in South America.<\/p>\n<p>As Wolfe began his search, he kept running into one man: Chico Azevedo. Chico had a very similar resume, : he had spent 35 years looking for gold deposits in South America, the last six years in the same \u201c<em>Gold Hunter<\/em>\u201d role for South African mining giant Gold Fields.<\/p>\n<p>Kirwin and Wolfe recruited Azevedo.\u00a0 Between these three men\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Kirwin has his own network in South America&#8211;they had seen almost every gold asset in South America there was to see\u00a0\u2013\u00a0or so they thought.<\/p>\n<p>Here was their criteria for their South American treasure hunt:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>An asset that the public markets had never seen before\u00a0\u2013\u00a0a new, fresh story<\/li>\n<li>A specific and overlooked deposit type\u00a0\u2013\u00a0a high-grade, tourmaline breccia<\/li>\n<li>An advanced stage asset that could be developed and monetized FAST; i.e. not grassroots<\/li>\n<li>In an area where the community had been supporting mining for decades<\/li>\n<li>All 3 of these geologists had to agree that they LOVED it\u00a0\u2013\u00a0it had to be unanimous<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Criteria #1 and #5 were the toughest. They had to start looking in the large arena of family-run assets that were still private.<\/p>\n<p>This, of course, would be a literal gold mine.\u00a0 So many assets here would not have had either proper funding or proper, modern exploration methods used.<\/p>\n<p>The art-of-the-deal would be to find the right asset owned by the right family who would be willing to share in the upside of Turmalina as a public company\u00a0\u2013\u00a0no small task.<\/p>\n<p>But for any geologist this is a dream job\u2026\u00a0no time pressure and solely focused on finding a career making asset (or two).\u00a0 These three proven geologists took their time and did this right.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m sure it got tense at times.\u00a0 Sometimes two out of the three would get excited and passionate about a project but the third wouldn\u2019t\u00a0\u2013\u00a0frustrating, but the rules meant that it was time to look at the next project.<\/p>\n<p>Frustrating but worth it\u2026\u00a0patience and being extremely picky pays off.\u00a0 After two full years of searching through hundreds of projects the three geologists found two high grade, massively underexplored, drill ready projects.<\/p>\n<p>They got their next round of funding, and they\u2019re now public\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and the drill has been turning and producing some ultra high grade gold results already.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #008000; font-size: medium;\"><strong>San Francisco de Los Andes<\/strong><b><br \/>\n<strong>High Grade and Low <span class=\"explanatory-dictionary-highlight\" data-definition=\"explanatory-dictionary-definition-27\">Capex<\/span>\u00a0Potential<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Asset #1\u00a0\u2013\u00a0where the very high grade drill results came from\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<em>is called San Francisco de Los Andes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/oilandgas-investments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31795\" alt=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/oilandgas-investments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/1.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"658\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>San Francisco has been privately owned for decades.\u00a0 It has never been exploited with modern mining techniques. It\u2019s high grade<em>; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">in fact it is one of the highest-grade tourmaline breccias ever discovered.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The private owner of the property mined it off and on for decades, but only at the surface level\u00a0\u2013\u00a0but The Really Big Prize is much deeper.<\/p>\n<p>The target shape of the San Francisco deposit is like an inverted carrot.\u00a0 The Turmalina team believes that the deeper you go the wider it gets\u2026\u00a0and not just wider, but also higher grade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/oilandgas-investments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31796\" alt=\"2\" src=\"http:\/\/oilandgas-investments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"549\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Turmalina has found that at 50 meters the deposit <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">is already twice of what it is at the surface<\/span>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The team has been drilling at San Francisco and the early results are<strong> spectacular<\/strong>. Drilling will quickly re-start, and if experience is any guide, those results will be a major catalyst for the stock in the coming weeks and months.<\/p>\n<p>This is exactly how K92\u2019s share price was driven up over 500% in the last 18 months.<\/p>\n<p>Medium-to-long term the regional exploration upside around San Francisco is huge.\u00a0 The property has been massively underexplored\u2026\u00a0San Francisco is just 1 of more than 60 breccias that are in the JV area.<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco is a perfect project for a junior gold miner.\u00a0 It isn\u2019t at altitude, it is in a mining friendly region with infrastructure (home to 12 operating mines, five in construction) and labor and carries no political risk.<\/p>\n<p>Most importantly it is VERY high grade, potentially low <span class=\"explanatory-dictionary-highlight\" data-definition=\"explanatory-dictionary-definition-27\">capex<\/span>\u00a0target.<\/p>\n<p>The second asset, which is called Turmalina, is similar in many ways and is the same geological model. While all of the attention right now is on San Fransisco, and rightfully so given the great start there, this second project could also potentially add some additional sizzle down the road.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #008000; font-size: medium;\"><strong>The Market WANTS This Type of Stock<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Turmalina Metals is exactly the kind of stock that investors want to own in this sector right now.<\/p>\n<p>The Market loves the K92 team.\u00a0 The market loves high grade assets\u2026 especially now at the start of a bull market in gold.<\/p>\n<p>This is when investors and institutions are just coming back into the sector.\u00a0 They <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">don\u2019t<\/span> want bloated share structures and old stories.
