in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/tradewind-expands-vaultchain-metals-trading-blockchain-platform-silver\/\" >Tradewind\u2019s existing VaultChain<\/a> products, which present information on precious metal throughout the supply chain, including the name and geography of the mine where the metal was produced. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignright\">\n<blockquote>\n<p>Economic, social, and governance standards for precious metal miners are becoming increasingly important and investors make more decisions based on ESG performance<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Tradewind designed ORIGINS in<br \/>\nconsultation with major industry participants, including the Royal Canadian<br \/>\nMint and publicly listed mining companies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Economic, social, and governance<br \/>\n(ESG) standards for precious metal miners are becoming increasingly important<br \/>\nand investors make more decisions based on ESG performance. <\/p>\n<p>Investors<br \/>\nin the business include IEX Group, Sprott Inc., Goldcorp, Agnico Eagle Mines<br \/>\nLtd., IAMGOLD Corp, and Wheaton Precious Metals Corp.<\/p>\n<p>Tradewind ORIGINS enables<br \/>\nproducers to differentiate their metal without requiring market participants to<br \/>\nintroduce expensive changes to operational and manufacturing processes, the<br \/>\ncompany said in a statement. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cWe have worked at length with the industry\u2019s major players<br \/>\nand our network of partners to build a provenance application that unlocks the<br \/>\nlatent value of precious metals by delivering meaningful data on how, when, and<br \/>\nwhere the assets were sourced,\u201d Michael Albanese, Tradewind Markets\u2019 CEO said. <\/p>\n<p>Albanese also said Tradewind is<br \/>\nworking to establish best practices and ethical sourcing of materials, and aims<br \/>\nto innovate within physical and alternative asset classes using blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>The Royal Canadian Mint accepts the delivery of metal sent from<br \/>\nsuppliers, approve or rejects the provided ORIGINS information, and registers<br \/>\nthe metal on the Tradewind Platform. <\/p>\n<p>The company said suppliers and<br \/>\nrefiners adhere to industry standards, including those advanced by the London<br \/>\nBullion
