with International Monetary Fund<br \/>\nstandards. <\/p>\n<p>Violent demonstrations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/ecuador-woes-weigh-on-solgolds-shares-projects-future\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">escalated last week<\/a> after President Lenin Moreno, whose austerity measures set off violent protests,\u00a0fled capital Quito\u00a0and sought refuge in the southern port city of Guayaquil, triggering rumours of a coup d\u2019\u00c9tat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As part of the recent deal struck between Ecuador and protesters,<br \/>\nthe government has agreed to restore fuel subsidies immediately.<\/p>\n<p>The company reiterated its operations remained \u201cunaffected&#8221;<br \/>\nby the turmoil, adding that it was on track to deliver a third mineral resource<br \/>\nestimate of the Alpala deposit in the fourth quarter of 2019 and a<br \/>\npre-feasibility study in the first quarter of 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Cascabel project is a key project in Ecuador&#8217;s<br \/>\ndeveloping mining industry [which] <\/p>\n<p>Is located away from any protected areas and away from any indigenous ancestral areas,\u201d the copper and gold
