{"id":1140811,"date":"2019-09-27T08:20:13","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T13:20:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=1002951"},"modified":"2019-09-27T08:20:13","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T13:20:13","slug":"bullseye-to-explore-pre-wwii-gold-shafts-in-western-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1140811","title":{"rendered":"Bullseye to explore pre-WWII gold shafts in Western Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bullseye Mining announced that it is planning to use modern-day exploration techniques to discover what lies underneath the historic Gold Shafts atop of the Hurleys gold deposit in Western Australia.<\/p>\n<div class='d-flex justify-content-center'>\n<div id='div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0'><script>googletag.cmd.push(function() {googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0');});<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to the miner, the shafts have been lying abandoned since the Second World War, with only occasional small-scale prospecting by those fascinated with the sheer dearth of hard, physical work and preservation shown by the mid-century Gold Rush prospectors.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignright\">\n<blockquote>\n<p> The company expects to encounter some remaining shallow gold mineralisation at the shafts\u00a0 <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>These &#8216;trenches&#8217; are located within a 5-kilometre radius of Bullseye&#8217;s flagship North Laverton Gold Project or NLGP on the Dingo Range Greenstone Belt. They became a significant drill target during the company&#8217;s latest drilling campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Bullseye exploration team expects to encounter some remaining shallow gold mineralisation at Hurleys and wants to test for any deeper in-situ gold mineralisation that may be present, that the earlier prospectors were unable to access,&#8221;
