{"id":1139981,"date":"2019-09-24T08:15:54","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T13:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=1002613"},"modified":"2019-09-24T08:15:54","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T13:15:54","slug":"great-atlantic-encouraged-by-tungsten-results-at-newfoundland-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1139981","title":{"rendered":"Great Atlantic encouraged by tungsten results at Newfoundland project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Great Atlantic Resources&nbsp;&nbsp;(TSXV:GR) announced that it has recently located tungsten mineralization in a new target area at its 100%-owned South Quarry property, located in east-central Newfoundland, Canada.<\/p>\n<div class='d-flex justify-content-center'>\n<div id='div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0'><script>googletag.cmd.push(function() {googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1561499308230-0');});<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a press release, Great Atlantic explained that the tungsten mineralization occurs in quartz-dominant veins in bedrock at a historic trench \/ stripped area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignright\">\n<blockquote>\n<p> Great Atlantic also expanded the South Quarry property from 1,350 to 1,925 hectares <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;This site is within the northern region of the property and northeast of the quarry referred to as the South Quarry,&#8221; the media brief states.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Vancouver-based company, tungsten-bearing pegmatite veins are widespread in the northern region of the property including the South Quarry and an adjacent smaller quarry.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 2015, the miner confirmed high-grade tungsten mineralization in veins in rubble and bedrock at the two quarries.
