{"id":1112907,"date":"2019-04-26T13:58:09","date_gmt":"2019-04-26T13:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mining.com\/?p=984526"},"modified":"2019-04-26T13:58:09","modified_gmt":"2019-04-26T13:58:09","slug":"zen-runs-environmental-baseline-studies-for-ontario-graphite-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juniorminingnews.com\/?p=1112907","title":{"rendered":"ZEN runs environmental baseline studies for Ontario graphite project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ZEN Graphene Solutions (TSXV: ZEN)\u00a0reported this week that it is collaborating with Constance Lake First Nation to incorporate traditional knowledge into the environmental baseline studies for its Albany graphite project near Thunder Bay, Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/zengraphene.com\/zen-announces-commencement-of-environmental-baseline-studies-on-albany-graphite-project\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>, ZEN said that the studies are already underway and, together with social baseline assessments, they will be an important input into future project development plans, which include a project design, a class environmental assessment and regulatory permitting.<\/p>\n<p><q class='pullQuote-right'>Material recovered from Albany easily converts to graphene.<\/q><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As part of our baseline program design, staff and leadership of CLFN [Constance Lake First Nation] are actively involved to ensure meaningful engagement and economic development opportunities,&#8221; Francis Dub\u00e9, ZEN&#8217;s CEO, said in the media brief. &#8220;By integrating baseline data into the early project planning stage, ZEN will maximize the value to the benefit of both our shareholders and the local community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Albany is a microcrystalline graphite deposit with a completed PEA. According to ZEN, material recovered from the site easily converts or exfoliates to graphene and therefore has the potential to be a precursor component of devices used by the aerospace, biomedical,
