Wolfden Resources, headquartered in Thunder Bay, Ont., has the results of diamond drilling at its 100% owned Orvan Brook property near Bathurst. The property is only 15 km from the active Caribou zinc-lead mine.<\/p>\n

The company drilled 10 holes \u2013 four on the West lens and six on the East lens \u2013 for a total 0f 2,649 metres late last year. The best results came from the West lens, including 4.40 metres grading 7.18% zinc, 2.78% lead, 0.10% copper, 68.40 g\/t silver and 0.76 g\/t gold (12.14% zinc equivalent) and 3.25 metres grading 6.76% zinc, 3.19% lead, 0.11% copper, 76.30 g\/t silver and 0.55 g\/t gold (11.94% zinc equivalent).<\/p>\n

The widths and grades Wolfden has drilled are similar to the nearby Caribou mine, said the company in a news release.<\/p>\n

The Orvan Brook deposit was discovered in 1938 and is part of the company\u2019s Tetagouche property. The deposit has historical resources of 2.7 million tonnes grading 0.59% zinc, 1.7% lead, 0.40% copper, 72.0 g\/t silver, and 1.0 g\/t gold.<\/p>\n
