largest mine in Minas Gerais state, following last month\u2019s tailings dam\u00a0disaster at Brumadinho, which left at least\u00a0115 dead.<\/p>\n<p>The news, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.oglobo.globo.com\/lauro-jardim\/post\/justica-manda-vale-parar-de-operar-outra-mina.html\"  rel=\"noopener\">published by O Globo<\/a>, one of the most respected Brazilian publications, follows an injunction that prohibits vale from storing tailings in the Laranjeiras dam, located in Bar\u00e3o de Cocais, also in Minas Gerais. according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maisminas.org\/vale-interrompe-atividades-na-mina-de-brucutu\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">local paper MasMinas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It also comes the same day it came to light that Germany\u2019s TUV SUD, the company that certified the safety of\u00a0 C\u00f3rrego do Feij\u00e3o mine\u2019s tailing, had worked as both a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/inspectors-of-collapsed-brazilian-dam-had-close-ties-to-its-owner-11549054668\"  rel=\"noopener\">consultant and an independent safety evaluator<\/a> for the Vale, raising questions among experts over potential conflicts of interest.<\/p>\n<p>Brucutu, which has an annual capacity of 30 million tonnes of iron ore and has been in operations for 13 years, is
