I always say no.<\/p>\n
I mean, I get it \u2013 this will be the fastest growing sector in 2019 \u2013 possibly in the whole world.<\/p>\n
One of The Big Catalysts will likely come from the US \u2013\u00a0it\u2019s The Big Dog in this market and it will almost certainly legalize marijuana federally sometime in 2019. We just saw bipartisan support for this with\u00a0Congress passing the Farm Bill which legalized hemp and the status of CBD (Cannabidiol).<\/p>\n
Not only is there an existing large market waiting to be filled, now medical research can begin in earnest to find even more positive benefits to cannabis products.<\/p>\n
The investor opportunity is incredible \u2013 and I think we\u2019re barely into the second inning of this ball game.<\/p>\n
The problem I see \u2013 that has kept me out of this sector \u2013 is that these public company marijuana stocks are all story and no substance.\u00a0 Most of them I wouldn\u2019t touch with a ten-foot pole.<\/p>\n
I really try to be an investor \u2013 fundamentals and intrinsic business value matter to me.<\/p>\n
In fact, there\u2019s only ONE marijuana stock I\u2019ve ever found that has a near bullet proof business model and is executing its plan.<\/p>\n
This company allows me to get exposure to the hyperbolic growth that the marijuana sector has in front of it (which nobody disputes) \u2013 but also ticks all of the fundamental boxes that every value investor like me would love.<\/p>\n

And as a bonus, it’s business has nothing to do with the US \u2013 just yet. So I can still cross the border!<\/p>\n
At first I was intrigued, but then I got excited.\u00a0How could a marijuana stock tick all the boxes?<\/p>\n
What Everyone Else In The Sector Is Missing<\/strong><\/span> There is a lot of hype around the marijuana sector.<\/p>\n There should be\u2026\u00a0because fortunes will be made from the growth that this sector will experience in the coming decade.<\/p>\n This sector has been full of hype, but at the end of the day, what matters is always the same… CASH FLOW.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t let anyone fool you.\u00a0It is a growing cash flow stream that drives the biggest stock market winners.\u00a0It doesn\u2019t matter if we are talking about insurance companies, oil producers or technology companies.<\/p>\n The marijuana sector doesn\u2019t have that yet. That lack of cash generating businesses is what is keeping all of the respectable (and BIG) institutional money on the sidelines.\u00a0And without that institutional money \u2013 the upside in these stocks is limited.<\/p>\n Institutional capital does want<\/span><\/em> exposure to the huge opportunity that is marijuana.\u00a0But the institutions can\u2019t buy stocks based on hype.\u00a0The institutions need to buy stocks based on financial performance\u2026\u00a0based on cash generating ability.<\/p>\n There are tens of billions of institutional dollars just waiting to buy marijuana stocks. It has a pristine income statement.
