Bill Murphy of the\u00a0Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee<\/a>\u00a0(GATA<\/a>) interviewed by\u00a0Investing News<\/a><\/p>\n

Bill Murphy, chairman of the Gold Anti-trust Action Committee (GATA), believes an explosive move in gold and\u00a0silver<\/a>\u00a0prices is in the cards \u2014 but not before manipulation comes to an end.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis past year and years have been so frustrating because other assets have soared \u2026 the stock market, the cryptocurrencies, art, real estate. And gold and silver have just been in the weeds,\u201d he said on the sidelines of the recent\u00a0New Orleans Investment Conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom our standpoint \u2026 it\u2019s all because of the gold cartel,\u201d Murphy continued. \u201cThe government\u2019s going to use all this quantitative easing, they\u2019re going to budget deficits, debt\u2019s going to go like crazy, interest rates are going to go to zero \u2014 and gold and silver will go back to where they are now?\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked what investors should do in the face of these circumstances, Murphy encouraged them not to give up. \u201cI write a commentary every day, and go out and try to keep people in the game,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s no fun writing about what the gold cartel is doing to keep the prices in the dumpster. A lot of people have left and they\u2019ve given up, it\u2019s just human nature.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, he emphasized, \u201cthis has created a big-picture sentiment that\u2019s going to lead to one of the big moves of all time.\u201d And, Murphy added, \u201cwhen it goes this time I don\u2019t think we\u2019re going to have the gradual moves like we saw at the early part of the decade \u2014 it\u2019s going to be explosive.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
